Let's Get Social
wedding hair incoming 🖤
kristen’s wedding is right around the corner. her goal was to get to a super bright blonde, that pops around her face with her natural dimension sprinkled throughout. oh yeah…. and inchessssss 😝
to say we were both obsessed would be a total understatement 🙂↕️
products used for this transformation: @wellahairusa blondorplex and shinefinity 🖤
@wellahair @wellaeducation
✨ Glinda the Good ✨
ariana grandes hair from the wicked movie is so beyond beautiful. the gorgeous golden tones, the soft waves in her hair. it reminds me of a softer version of billie burke’s hair in the original wizard of oz. just a bit softer in tone and style ✨
this look is inspired by glinda from wicked and glinda from the wizard of oz. the perfect hybrid of the two 🖤 dimensional copper and golden blonde tones, with soft waves ☺️
this spellbinding look was achieved with all @wellahairusa products ✨
the process:
- firstly we had to lighten her hair all over. we needed a lighter base to work off of. so we did a bleach wash at the bowl with 20 vol. let process to a clean, bright level 8, and then shampooed
- next we did an all over color, while leaving out all of the pieces we wanted for dimension. i let the color process for 30 minutes 🖤
- once that was done processing i did an all over gloss at the bowl to tie everything together 🥰
- for style i blew her hair out smooth using thermal image for heat protection, nitri-enrich wonder balm for moisture, pearl styler for style, and perfect- setting for hold 🖤
formulas:
all over color: 8/34, 7/0 from koleston perfect with 20 volume
all over gloss: 0/34 color touch special mix with 6 volume
#wellaxwickedchallenge @wellahair @wellaeducation
the wind was not a paid actor 😂
color refresh, bangs, and layers on this beauty ✨
not every service needs to be super complicated, but can be super impactful 🖤
we refreshed her deep rich brunette and her layers while adding in a cute sabrina carpenter bang moment ☺️
@wellahairusa koleston perfect for her color refresh 🙂↕️
@wellahair @wellaeducation
copper red —> back to blonde 🖤
this is just one glimpse into what transitioning from one color to another can look like. i’m gonna be honest, this is truly best case scenario. most of the time it takes way more than two sessions to get to your goal.
luckily my client takes great care of her hair and only uses products that protect and nourish her hair in between appointments 🙂↕️ she also regularly schedules maintenance and keeps herself on a regular routine at home and schedule with me. consistently is key when it comes to your hair goals 🖤
@wellahairusa for all of her color transformations 🖤
koleston perfect, color touch, shinefinity, blondorplex ✨
@wellahair @wellaeducation
the blonde peek-a-boo 😮💨
fun hair for this fun girlie 🥰
it’s always such a fun experience when the process is collaborative 🖤 that’s how magic like this is made 🤩 thank you @valpal_1204 for always being such a fun time in my chair ☺️🖤🖤
@wellahairusa blondor, koleston perfect and shinefinity 🖤
@wellahairusa @wellahair @wellaeducation
natural brunette —> wine 🍷
when ever i need to lift the hair just a few levels i always opt to use special blondes by @wellahairusa . their high lift color is the perfect way to lift virgin hair as little as two level, or as much as 4-5 (depending on the circumstances ☺️)
we left her root area alone as we wanted that to come out slightly darker to help soften grow out in between appointments 🖤
seriously obsessed with the final color 😍😍
@wellaeducation @wellahair
curly, copper, and voluminous 🖤
this curly mane of furry auburn is so beautiful 😍 i always look forward to diffusing her hair and getting to see the final product. also how gorgeous does this color look on her?! it compliments her eyes and skin tone so well ☺️🖤🌟
@wellahairusa koleston, and color touch for the color 🖤
@wellaeducation @wellahairusa
missing edc 🖤
got this cutie patoootie all refreshed right before EDC weekend so she souls be living her best life under the electric sky 💅🏼💫
we opted for a brighter blonde so her hair could have bolder contrast 🖤
Koleston for the brown, blondorplex for the blonde, shinefinity for the gloss 🖤🖤
@wellahair @wellahairusa @wellaeducation
second session going blonde 🖤
this was the second session to take linda back to her previous blonde color. i can’t believe how clean and even her color is after only two sessions!!
her hair started out a firey red copper before we decided to go back to her signature color. a dimensional blonde ✨
this transformation wouldn’t have been possible without @wellahairusa miracle hair rescue, blondorplex, and shinefinity 🖤
formulas:
lowlights: koleston perfect 5/71, 6/0, 10 vol
all over gloss: shinefinity 9/36, 9/61, bottle developer
@wellahair @wellaeducation #wellaxwickedchallenge #magicinthehair
hair rescue 🖤
jasmine had a traumatic experience where her hair was completely chopped to bits. for this appointment we wanted to cut a lot of the hair off that was way too texturized and thinned out while also getting her back to a beautiful dimensional brunette ✨
we did a full air touch application to create the dimension and toned her with shinefinity 🖤
all @wellahairusa products for the transformation 🖤
@wellahair @wellaeducation @cosmoprofbeauty @wella_passionistas_global
from a soft grow out -> to vibrant all over 😍
michelle told me the vibe she was going for, but told me to do what i do ✨ it’s always so humbling when you’re clients tell you they trust you enough to create something that’s not a replication. we were both so in love with the final result 🖤🖤
we talked about what to name the color, and we decided on ivy red. because it reminded us of poison ivy from batman 💅🏻
all @wellahairusa products for the transformation 🖤
@wellahair @wellaeducation @cosmoprofbeauty
🖤 contrast 🖤
this is smalls, isn’t she the cutest 🥹. we took her more so traditional balayage and transformed it into a super contrasted color blocked situation 🖤
she wanted to keep the balayage dimension to some extent so we didn’t fully cover her balayage highlights. instead made them super deep and rich to still showcase the highs and lows in the dark brunette section of her hair ❤️🔥
@wellahair @wellahairusa @cosmoprofbeauty
adding in vibrancy and dimension 🖤
i had so much fun brining Kasey’s hair back to life 🥰
i started by adding in some airtouch around her face to brighten up her hair and add some dimension.
once all the foils were placed i applied an all over color to everything that was left out 🙂↕️
once that was all done processing i glossed her hair twice. the first time with 7/34 and pastel volume, and the second time with 7/43 and 6 volume from color touch 🖤
we were both so obsessed with the results 😭🖤🖤
all @wellahairusa for the color as always 🖤
@wellahair @wellaeducation @cosmoprofbeauty
vibrant fall coppers >>>
i love coppers of all shades and sizes… but something about coppers during autumn and winter just hit different 🙂↕️ i’ve been enjoying all of the deeper, richer, more vibrant shades recently 🖤
all @wellahairusa for the color 🫶🏼
@wellahair @wellaeducation @wellahairusa @cosmoprofbeauty
copper refresh 🖤
for this appointment we brought up some of the blonde back into the hair. the lighter ends were really starting to grow out and we wanted to do something fun and new to revitalize them 🙂↕️
what we decided on doing was adding in some dimension cascading towards the back until it reaches the line of demarcation :). creating a very lived in balayage effect
we did about 6-7 foils each side of the head including the money piece foils
i took pretty liberal sections while checking to maintain balance on the head. using airtouch i blew out the baby hairs in each section and went ahead and balayaged each panel. highest in the front till eventually the lowest in the back 🖤
while applying these highlights the root color had been applied first. so it’s been processing almost 25/30mins. once everything was done processing however i rinsed everything at the same time. making sure to cleanse very well. and i also went ahead and did an all over gloss to refresh the color and new balayage .
we were both so obsessed and excited at the final result!! what do you guys thing?
from natural -> rich auburn 🖤
this was such a fun transformation!! i started out using special blondes from wella to do an all over base break. why not just start with bleach?
because of her goal. when a client wants a color that lives on the middle to lower end of the spectrum you have to keep the natural pigment foundation in the hair. bleach can very easily and very quickly over lift the hair, and unevenly lift the hair. i wasn’t looking to remove all the natural red and orange in her hair, just bump it up slightly. the initial base break lifted her root and about 5 inches from the scalp to the perfect canvas. once that was done i could visually see what needed to be bumped up with lightener to even out her canvas. when bleaching her ends i only used 10 volume as i only need to life her another level or so.
once her base was prepared we went in and did an all over color and these were our results 🖤
this whole transformation was done with @wellahairusa color 🙂↕️🖤
@wellahair @wellaeducation @wellahairusa @cosmoprofbeauty
first session transitioning from red back to blonde 🖤
we were able to go from a deep red color to this beautiful dimensional balayage. there is definitely some warmth still in her hair. this is to be expected because we were working through a year of red color build up 🙂↕️
this is why i trust @wellahairusa with all of my transformations 😭. every time i have to start a service i know without a doubt in my mind that wella color will help me preform to the best of my abilities and deliver results!! beyond delivering results i know my clients hair is safe when using wella. her hair was still so shiny and soft by the time we were finished. blondorplex is my favorite lightener to use because i know it will preserve the integrity of my clients hair. you can see in this video i had to process her hair thrice. once to remove some of the pigment, twice to create the highlights, and a third time to color all of the hair left out of the foils 🤭
without the proper knowledge and tools this transformation could have ended very different. the results speak for themselves ;)
@wellahairusa @wellahair @wellaeducation
copper and neon lime 🖤
this is easily one of my favorite combinations. every time we touch up my gorgeous sisters color im amazed at how much i still love it after maintaining for for several years now. something’s are classic and never need to be touched or changed 💅🏻
anyone else in the mood for a bold money piece? 👀
@wellahairusa for the color 🖤
@wellahairusa @wellahair @wellaeducation @cosmoprofbeauty
oh we are so embracing our red eras this summer ♥️
from virgin hair to this gorgeous wine red 😍. as always we left her base a bit deeper to help create softness as her roots grow in over time 😌🙂↕️
process:
- on dry hair i applied special blondes with 30 vol all over except an inch from her scalp. let that process about 15 mins just to lift her hair a level or so. then rinsed and rough dried
- once the hair was dry i applied an all over color, having one formula for her roots and one for her mids to ends. once that was done processing wash and she’s all done 🖤
who else is as obsessed with these results as we were?! 😭
@wellahairusa @wellahair @wellaeducation @cosmoprofbeauty
refreshed and revamped ✨
this was such a fun transformation!! every time i have the pleasure of @ksmalls_k sitting in my chair i never know what she’s going to show me for inspiration 😂. this time she showed me some blonde color blocking in the fringe area. so we decided to keep everything the same but to add in the color blocking!
for now she also wanted more contrast between her balayage and the color blocking. so i decided to use @wellahairusa shinefinity to tone down her freshly retouched balayage so that over time as the toner fades those highlights will pop back out and be bright again :).
process:
- i started with retouching her platinum color blocking under her hair. she had been traveling the world the last 3 months so it had been a while since i saw her. which meant the areas with a platinum retouch had grown too long. so they needed a little extra love
- once i was done with the platinum application i went through and applied the foils to her fringe for the color blocking. i decided to leave the baby hairs out in this section so the grow out doesn’t have a harsh line :3
- once that was done i went ahead and retouched her balayage throughout the rest of her head to break up her natural that had grown out
- while those foils finished processing i rinsed the platinum retouch and color blocked foils out so i can tone them while the rest finished processing. we wanted something neutral and bright for the blonde sections 🙂↕️. during this step i also corrected any areas the platinum retouch bled onto her undercut 🖤
- once all the color blocking was toned i went back in and toned the rest of her balayage with 7/12 and 6/6 in shinefinity to give it the appearance of being darker, but without the commitment :3
and this is the finished result!! we were both SOOOO obsessed with how it turned out 🥰
@wellahairusa @wellaeducation @wellahair @cosmoprofbeauty
back to all over red 😏
we were working with her natural root for a while, but she wanted to be red all over again 😍. so we opted to go for a darker red at the base and keep the brighter money piece and ends ✨
this whole look was created using @wellahairusa koleston perfect, no bleach needed 🫶🏼

🍯 orange honeycomb soft serve 🍊
created this beautiful dimensional color using @wellahairusa blondor and illumina color ✨
process:
- full highlight using blondorplex starting with 10 volume and working my way up to 25 volume
- once all of the foils were placed i went back through and used illumina 8/36 on her roots with 30 volume to lift her base to a level 8 golden orange
- after her base was done processing i rinsed everything and glossed her hair all over using illumina 9/43 20g and 7/42 8g with 60g pastel volume and let that process for 12 minutes and this was the final result ♥️

summer dimension for less maintenance 🦋
my beautiful client is having a baby and she wanted something that would require much less maintenance, so we added in pops of blonde all over to break up her NATURAL (yes her roots and mids are her natural hair color).
about two years ago she came to me with very over processed platinum hair wanting to go back to her natural copper color to bring her hair back to life. we’ve been cutting, and color matching her previously lightened hair to her natural for that long. with most of the blonde grown out now and a baby on the way, she wanted something with much less maintenance. hence this masterpiece was born ✨🫶🏼

balayage —> copper ✨
so excited about this transformation!! taking someone from blonde to copper isn’t always easy. especially when some of their hair is pre-lightened. i like to do it in steps instead of trying to do everything at once. my process:
- i started with an all over gloss on dry hair, leaving out only the pre-lightened blonde pieces at the front of her hair. color touch 7/0 and 8/43
- once that was done processing her hair was at about a very warm level 7 dark blonde
- now was the time to add the richness into her hair
- i did 7/43 from illumina with double pastel for 8 mins to deliver some rich pigment back into the hair so it wasn’t super flat
- this part might be controversial but it’s what i needed to do to get my client to her goal, i used 9/43 with double 40 vol all over her hair for 6 mins to brighten the pre lightened parts back up without removing the warmth and copper tones in her hair. when you color over porous hair it can tend to grab the pigment a little too dark and drab. this worked perfectly to bring it back to life!!
- finished her off with 07/34 from shinefinity to add that gorgeous copper glow, and shine ✨

i always get to do something fun with mil 🫶🏼 this time we created a much larger section of blonde on the left side and covered up some of the blonde on the right side 🤭 we always highlight her root area every so often so she doesn’t have a harsh grow out with her very naturally dark hair :)

hi 👋🏼
it’s been so long since i’ve posted anything personal or anything about me, so im just going to reintroduce myself, and put my face on your feed again 😂
im william, im a cooper/ red specialist and a @wellahairusa passionista 💅🏻 i’ve been specializing in copper for a while now, and it brings me so much joy ✨ i started my hair journey back in the summer of 2016 and i never looked back. i’ve learned so much since then and i’ve grown, and evolved. not only as a stylist… but as a person. this job is truly one of the most mentally and physically demanding jobs you can have, but i can’t imagine doing anything else 🫶🏼
im 30 years old and im currently engaged to the most amazing human on the planet @vicctxrr . we have two babies, luna & atlas and they are my world ♥️ im a new york city native but have lived in FL about a decade now. my immediate family all live here now too, which is such a slay 💕 i lost my dad just over two years ago now, that wasn’t such a slay. but i keep him with me in different ways every single day 💙
outside of work i’m a fairly simple person. i like being at home, and only going out to spend money, go to the movies, or visit universal 🤭 i also like to go to dj shows and festivals. it’s basically the only time i party anymore haha. i have a few hobbies, but my main two are video games and doll collecting. they both equally bring me so much joy :).
pink is my favorite color. horror is my favorite movie genre, and for music im a big pop, kpop, and edm fan 🦋i recently got into audio books (i know im súper late 😂). has anyone read the fourth wing, and iron flame? 👀
i have truly had the pleasure of meeting some of the most genuinely amazing humans being a stylist. i am so grateful to all of the wonderful kind hearted people who sit in my chair and trust my artistry. hair isn’t something you can just make happen. it’s a living moving piece of art that’s a collaboration between a stylist and their client. i thank everyone who allows me to create art on their head every day 🫶🏼
if you made it to the end, thank you. leave a comment with a fun or touching memory you have with me. or what your first impression of me was 😂✨
take a break from copper 💖
this is my lovely client katherine ✨ she’s been copper with me for about a year now and was ready for a little change 🫶🏼 so we took her back blonde 😍 this transformation took 5 hours, but the end result was totally worth it 😝

🦋 Wella Ultimate Repair Miracle Rescue🦋 #wellapartner
when this line was first released i used it on myself at home before any of my clients. at the time, my hair was very overprocessed. my hair was breaking pretty bad due to overbleaching. once i started using the Ultimate Repair line, after one week, my hair stopped breaking. that’s when i knew i had to immediately start using this in my salon over any of its competitors, and have my clients use Miracle Hair Rescue at home.
some key things to keep in mind:
- it uses alpha hydroxy acids and omega-9 to repair the hair from the inside out in only 90 seconds
- this product is for ALL hair types. from straight and fine, to coarse and curly ✨
- Miracle Hair Rescue leaves your hair smoother, adds shine, and repairs environmental, chemical, mechanical, and thermal damage!!
personal tips:
- i love using the Miracle Hair Rescue spray as a treatment during processing times. in this video i sprayed it on the parts of my sister’s money piece that were already pre-lightened, to treat the hair while we were lightening her roots. as for the copper section, i sprayed it on the ends of her hair only for the same effect.
- another fun way to add the benefits from this line into your service is mixing your clients’ fashion colors with the conditioner!!
fellow stylists, run!… don’t walk to buy this line! you can even get 10% off at checkout on the wella store with code: WILLIAM 😇

want to go red or copper but scared about the grow out in between maintenance appointments?
there’s a solution for you :)
some of my clients like to have a darker copper or red root color with lighter and brighter ends to help diffuse their natural root as it grows in 🩷
over time as the lighter parts go out there’s so many ways for us to bring some brightness and dimension back into your hair :). it’s all about what your goal is and the look you’re trying to achieve!!

from subtle warmth to bold warmth 🔥
one of my favorite things is when i have a client who wants to start subtle and before you know it they’re ready to do the complete opposite 😆
her very first transformation with me was for a very soft copper brunette, and for this appointment we completely changed that. her goal was a for a deeper red dominate copper, and boy did we achieve that 😍
who else is obsessed with the results?! process below:
- bleach wash at the bowl to lift some of the previous color and achieve desired base level
- once the hair was a few levels lighter i applied an all over color and let that process for 25 mins
- then i washed the all over color and applied a gloss to perfect the tone and we were done ✨
@wellahair @wellaeducation @wellahairusa @cosmoprofbeauty
before and after 🦋
i forgot to take a before teehee, so i used the after video from when we initially added the blonde. but her hair looked exactly the same when we started today *just with some roots ;)*
one thing to keep in mind when taking someone from blonde to copper is the non-copper part of your formulas. i already let my client know it might take a few sessions before her color is perfectly even, which we both loved the slight gradient anyways.
but what’s more important is keep the color on the blonde from being vibrant. without the proper natural/ neutral tones in your formula the copper tones will deposit very bright and can appear almost neon.
for this transformation i used 7/7 to help balance and ground the 7/43 & /43 in my gloss formula ✨

adding brightness to bring life to her lengths 🩷
we’ve been growing out Hollys hair for a while now. i felt like her new length needed something to bring it back to life. so i suggested a partial balayage, and she was down!!
the results are so stunning. the partial added all the dimension her hair needed!!!
@wellahairusa @wellahair @wellaeducation @cosmoprofbeauty
the PERFECT hair for autumn 🥰
this lovely lady Jennifer came to me with a goal of a very warm cinnamon brown base, with lighter copper ends. we started off with very grown out roots with very dimensional mids to ends. there were a lot of highs and lows throughout her hair. so i knew going in i was going to have a few things to address, starting with her roots.
i decided to lift all of her new growth with wella’s Special Blondes. why did i do this? with everything going on in her hair i wanted the canvas that i was working on to be as even as possible. this way when i go in for the all over color i can have much more control over the situation.
to match her roots to everything else i mixed SB 12/03 with 40 vol 1:2. applied that to her new growth leaving it a half inch from the scalp. with each section i placed a foil, one on top of the next, to incubate the areas with less heat from the head. placed a shower cap on top of her head. and then let that process for 10 mins.
once her mids had processed for 10 mins i took off the shower cap and pulled all the foils out. this is where i went back in with SB 12/03 and 30 vol 1:2 and applied it to all of the root that was left out previously. once i was done applying that i put her in a shower cap and let that process for 25 mins ✨
when that was done processing i shampooed her hair, and brought her back to the chair. now her natural root was the same color as the lowlights that were in her hair. which was perfect for our end goal. from here i just detangled and applied her color. one formula at the base and another on the mids to ends. alternating how low i was dragging down the base color, or how high i was bringing up the ends color. we finished off with a healthy trim, lots of layers, and bangs :).
we were both SO obsessed with the results. what about you guys?! let me know what you think the formulas are in the comments. if this post gets 100 likes by christmas i’ll share the formulas in the comments 😘
@wellahair @wellaeducation @wellahairusa @cosmoprofbeauty
wintery silvery goodness ✨
these are the results from my story the other day. posting on the feed was way more requested than on my story so… here she is!! ❄️🌨️
my gorgeous client always like to switch it up and do something different. we’ve been working on getting her light for about a year now. so when she said she wanted something different i told her going dark was out of the question 🤣. when talking about the things she loved in the past i kept hearing the word blue a lot. so that’s when i suggested we go for a blueish silver balayage :)
needless to say we were both gagged at the end. the results speak for themselves ✨❄️🩵
formulas:
- blondor with 20 vol (reapplied with 30 vol on the stubborn parts with any left over previous color)
- global gloss: shinefinity 9/61 with /89 and bottle developer
- shadow root: shinefinity 4/12 and 6/71

🩷 halloween styling 🩷
hello my friends 🥰 today im bringing you something a little different and fun ✨ if anyone has a halloween costume they need a different hair color for, but doesn’t want to color their hair or wear a wig… this video is for you ;)
using root retouch spray to change your hair color is a super easy and fun way to transform any hair color without making your hair hard and flat 😆
for this video i used the l’oréal magic retouch spray in light blonde :)
it’s a pretty straight forward process. you basically just want to style your hair how it needs to be styled for your costume and use the root retouch spray over the finished style to create a cast of color ✨
who is dressing up as a character from the barbie movie?? 👀 victor and i are both dressing up as ken 😆 western ken and roller blading ken (respectively) 🩷🩷
let me know what your costume plans are for this year in the comments below 😝👇🏼
grad school means less maintenance🩷🩵✨
this is Bri, and she’s one of my favorite humans ✨ she’s officially in her grad school program and i’m so proud of her 🥺🥰 unfortunately this also means she’s going to have to have a hair color with less maintenance. so we’re saying see you later to the copper 👋🏼🫶🏼 and we did our first session transitioning her to a balayage ✨
process:
- first i a localized bleaching on the band from her previous darker root shadow. let that process for 15 and then took her over to the bowl to do a full global bleach wash
- once that was done i took her back to the chair and blow dried her full hairline to do a face framing airtouch balayage
- once the foils were done i applied color to all the hair that was left out of the foils. let that all process for 30 mins and rinsed everything 🫶🏼
- no toner for the blonde the raw lift was actually beautiful 🩷
all over color:
Koleston Perfect: 7/3, 6/91, 5/71 + 10 vol
it was dark so the lighting for the after isn’t the best… but wow 🤩. what do you guys think of the transformation?!
@wellahairusa @wellahair @wellaeducation @cosmoprofbeauty
another session going lighter 🥰
my client smalls and i have gone through many different hair colors since she’s first sat in my chair. bright coppers, deep reds, blue and black, brunette. you name it, we’ve tried it. but for a while now we’ve been working our way up to a blonde balayage. and today we finally make it to a gorgeous dimensional bright golden balayage!!!
it looks so amazing on her, and i can’t wait to see where we take this look next!!
ps: isn’t she literally the cutest person you’ve ever seen 🥺
formulas:
lowlight: shinefinity 6/0 & bowl developer melted into 0/00 and bowl developer
root shadow: shinefinity 4/12, 6/0, bowl developer
all over gloss: shinefinity 10/0, 9/36, bottle developer

a fun transformation from a while back!!
my lovely client likes being blonde, but doesn’t like the high maintenance of platinum blonde, nor does she like how it compromises her hair. so i had a solution ✨
if you follow me you know i love warmth. what i specialize in is essentially orange and red so it doesn’t get warmer than that 🤣. i told her there’s a way we can keep you blonde but have it be way more lived in AND healthy.
*special blondes has entered the chat*
yes that’s right. yet again. high lift color to the rescue 😍
if your client is okay with, or loves warmth this is one of the best ways to do a balayage on virgin hair. the results are always stunning AND their hair feels AMAZING. here’s some things to keep in mind:
- this is not bleach. while it is stronger and more aggressive than color, it will not do what bleach does. i would expect MAXIMUM 5-6 levels of lift. 6 being the most under the most intense conditions (foils with micro sections under heat). so if you’re client is looking to go blonde from dark hair this is not the product to use
- again this is not bleach. so the lift will be VERY warm. except a lot of red for levels 1-2/3. expect a lot of orange for levels 3-5/6. and expect a lot of yellow for levels 6+. if they do not want warmth and are looking for anything more than 2 shades lighter, reach for blondor 🩷
- this is a very controlled lift. if you’re wanting to lift your clients hair without over lifting it, this product is for you 🩷
- let it process the full time. watch it. give it time to get to where it needs to be. i would say no longer than an hour and a half. that’s how about usually the longest i’ll leave it on the hair for :)
we finished the service by cutting a super short bob with a ton of texture and moment. she wanted to have fun layers and texture to play with when styling 🥰
who else loves warm color, and or balayaging with high lift color?! 🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️ let me know below ;)

from natural 🤎—> to copper (twice) 🧡 🧡 —> to the beginning of getting her back to her natural (again haha) 🤎 💛 (read below) 👇🏼
this lovely lady is Brenna. she has a dream of one day successfully having beautiful copper locks. unfortunately that was not in the cards for her just yet. before sitting in my chair she had two attempts from previous stylists to try and go copper, and while both results were beautiful, neither was what she was looking for. which lead us to this appointment 😌
her main goal was to be able to get her hair back to her natural as close as possible before going on vacation. and i think we did a pretty good job for her first session. what do you guys think?!
my process:
1) strip as much of the pigment on her hair off as possible before starting. to do this i utilized a bleach wash technique to safely remove as much of that built up copper pigment as possible
2) once i was done removing the pigment I went through and did a partial balayage with a base color everywhere there wasn’t a foil
3) when that was done processing we rinsed everything and toned her balayage to a beautiful soft warm blonde
4) her base color didn’t get as dark i had hoped. but within a week her hair had been through 4+ transformative processes. corrective color is a tricky process because when the hair has been through a lot in a short period of time you never know how it’s going to responde to product
5) to remedy this we went back in and did a shadow root to help melt her base into the lighter lengths and help create a softer grow out, and reduce some of the brightness at the top of her head
moving forward her hair should be a lot more receptive to future coloring process as it will have had some down time from being colored :)
we had no sunlight so the lighting for the afters is terrible. but i think for one session after having multiple copper processes her hair looks AMAZING!! i couldn’t believe we were able to get her to where we did. i can’t wait to see where we get after her next appointment!!
who else is obsessed with this after?!

#ad ever have a client who isn’t quite ready for their touch up/ refresh but is looking for something in the meantime that can bring their hair back to life? most of the time we immediately think “conditioning treatment”. but what if there was a way to seal the cuticle of your client’s hair, help reduce tangling, give their color a boost, and add even more multidimensional shine?
there is. it’s called Shinefinity clear gloss (0/00). in this video i transformed my sister’s hair in just 45 mins!! here’s the break down:
staring off she had 3 day old hair. it’s been about a month since her last touch up. and we usually go about 6-8 weeks. which means it’s a bit early for a touch up. but she had an event she wanted her hair to look bright and alive for. so i opted to do a Shinefinity clear gloss to bring her color back to life, add luminous shine, and eliminate tangling.
at the beginning of the video the shiniest parts of her hair are due her natural oils. this is normal on 3+ day old hair. you can also tell that her ends are tangling when my fingers rub through them. this is after brushing it. it’s normal for the hair over time to start to loose the bright, bouncy, tangle free look. we put our hair and cuticles through a lot every day. Shinefinity 0/00 is the perfect way to give your hair a healthy boost, without changing anything about your color. and the best part? it will last you longer than a traditional conditioning treatment ;).
- make sure you cleanse the hair very well
- apply the gloss all over at the bowl on damp hair
- let it process for the full 20 mins
- *optional* add a processing cap and or gentle heat to allow it to penetrate even deeper on clients who’s hair can be more resistant
Shinefinity starts mildly alkaline, so that the cuticles can swell and open just a little, and the color molecules can enter the hair shaft to ensure the best results. at the same time the pH starts to drop to a gentle acidic range, which means zero lift, zero damage, and healthier hair!! her hair at the end is a perfect example of how Shinefinity clear gloss can bring your clients hair and color back to life!! 😍 #ad @wellahairusa @cosmoprofbeauty

#ad you guys, i’m so excited to be partnering with @wellahairusa to show you one of their newest product lines. this line is genuinely a secret weapon and can help you so many ways behind the chair, while helping your clients at home!!
in this video i’m retouching my moms foiliyage. we had only been doing partials and face frames for over a year. so she was waay overdue for a full. knowing this process was going to be a bit more intense on her hair, I had complete peace of mind using the Ultimate Repair system during my service!!
some great tips on how to utilize this system behind the chair:
1) use step two as a buffer on pre-lightened hair. adding that buffer between hair that’s already been lifted protects it from over processing while the virgin hair has more time to catch up. this creates an even blonde result without any damage from over processing ;)
2) while the foils are processing spray some of that Miracle Hair Rescue on the hair left out. This will give the hair not in foils a treatment while the foils process. Miracle Hair Rescue repairs hair damage in 90 seconds, so I love to use this while the foils process.
3) utilize Miracle Hair Rescue when pulling foils. make sure you wipe the hair as clean as possible with a towel, and then use ONE spritz to treat the hair you just lightened
4) make sure you’re using the entire system. it’s designed to work together, not apart. so make sure you’re using the entire Ultimate Repair line during your service to guarantee best results 🩷

should we call this…. “hot girl copper”?
🤣🤣🤣 i’m kiddingggg. i was SO ready for this. she’s been coming to me for two years now, and we’ve talked a lot about her transitioning from blonde to copper. with her birthday around the corner, she was finally ready 🔥
— things to keep in mind when going from platinum/ blonde to copper/ red —
- this process may take a few sessions. your hair is empty. literally. any pigment you had is gone. your hair isn’t a dry erase board. when you do things to it, it’s changed. permanently. which means there’s a lot to be done to get your hair back to a place where it can hold pigment again. so be patient with your stylist. the golden rule is to give your stylist three appointments before you decide if they’re the right fit or not and move on ✨
- because platinum hair is so light, it’s very very processed. which means the actual structure and integrity of your hair is compromised. for some it might be subtle, and for others it might be beyond repair. either way this kind of transformation isn’t just a “slap the color on and you’re good to go” situation. there are many steps and sessions to this process. this was 1 session and 5 processes. but for some people it might take 6+ steps per session, and several sessions
- learn to love the journey and listen to your stylist. if your stylist tells you 4 sessions. it’s 4 sessions. if they tell you something can’t be done this time, but it can be done next time. that means it’s not happening today. if they tell you a specific product to use for your color. buy it. we are here for you, so let us be 🫶🏼
- lastly, but most definitely not leastly (teehee) this color WILL FADE. it’s not your stylists fault. and it’s not your fault (depending on your at home care 🤣). red and copper fade even on the healthiest hair. now imagine hair that was bleached. which means it’s empty and the cuticle is definitely not sitting flat and tight anymore. you JUST had color added back in. be patient and trust the process. it will stop fading so drastically, in time😘
@wellahair @wellahairusa @wellaeducation @hairbrained_official
talk about cowboy copper 😍
working on a corrective service can be so intimidating. especially when there’s a lot of history with their hair. you can see in the first few clips that there was a bunch of banding, and a lot of different colors happening. the only way to fix this was to get her canvas to a clean slate. this doesn’t mean it has to be perfect. as long as it’s all relatively the same color, in relation to their goal, then you’re good to go!!
the process:
- first i went in and lifted the darkest band. i did this by mixing blondorplex with 10 volume and went section by section applying lightner on the darkest bands (foil for incubation. placed below and on top of each section. no folding needed)
- once I was done applying that i started pulling the foils (starting where i originally began) and I pulled the lightener through the ends, applying more blondorplex & 10vol where needed
- after that i went back through one last time and applied the same formula on her roots. then i let everything process until it was about a level 7/8
- once her canvas was prepped i went back in and did an all over color using Wella’s koleston perfect, let that process for 30 mins, and we were done 😉
we were both obsessed with the results, her hair looked AMAZING. and it felt amazing too!! who else is loving this copper shade as much as me 🙋🏻♂️

not every new client is a whole corrective project. sometimes i get a client who is new to the area and is just looking for a new stylist. this was one of those cases 🩷
i had the pleasure to be able to start working on Taylor’s hair. luckily the foundation i had to work off of was already amazing!! i just went through and did a partial balayage, then applied her root color and let those two process together for 30 mins. for the last 10 mins of processing I pre-toned the hair at the back of her head that was not in a foil. once the 30 mins were up I washed everything and then did a global gloss to regloss her faded red, and being the highlights back down to the copper/ red family ;)
this after is STUNNING. it literally looks like the most magical flames. i had so much fun working on this project. we were both in love and dying over the end result. who else loves this color??? 👀 let me know down below 👇🏼
@wellahair @wellaeducation @wellahairusa
and we’re bright again 🤭
one of my favorite things is when my clients not only want to switch it up, but are super excited for a change. we both get so hyped up, and the afters are always emotional 😭
change can be as little as switching the tone/ vibrancy, to completely changing your color to something new. both are equally as exciting and satisfying!!
here we have the lovely Haylee. last time i saw her she wanted to cover her money piece and go for a deeper more brown shade of copper. auburn if you will. and while she loved having it, she really missed the bright vibrant copper.. (and the money piece but that has to wait a bit longer 🤣).
it had been a while since I last saw her, which ended up being beneficial for us ✨
because it had been so long her roots had grown out a decent amount, and her color was significantly faded. because we only did one session going darker, there wasn’t enough pigment in her hair to set us back!! I was able to go in and touch up her roots first. once that was done processing I glossed her all
over. incorporating two of my favorite products from Wella: Special Mix, and Relights 🫶🏼 these gave her the exact boost she needed to be a bright copper again, while keeping the base a touch more natural for a softer grow out!!
formulas:
root: koleston perfect 6/47, 7/34, 20+30 vol
global gloss: koleston perfect 8/34, Special Mix /43, Relights /34, pastel developer
which do you prefer: Deeper Auburn Shades or Brighter Copper Shades? let me know in the comments ;)👇🏼
@wellahair @wellahairusa @wellaeducation @beautylaunchpad
🩷 all are welcome here 🩷
i was finally able to showcase the type of client i want in my chair.. ✨ everyone ✨
i will never turn someone down due to hair texture, race, gender, gender identity, sexual preferences, age, and everything in between 🫶🏼
**unless you have hair shorter than your jaw… that’s out of my jurisdiction 🤣**
i also wanted to showcase that no matter what you look like, there’s space for everyone in the copper/ red family. so if you’ve been hesitant because you’re worried about how you’ll look, let this be the sign to take the leap 😉🔥
@bratz
let’s just take a moment for the blend 😮💨….
Kelsey wanted to add brightness for the summer, while also adding a little bit more depth back into her base color to start prepping for fall ;)
when adding blonde or brightness into my clients copper and red hair, I always make sure I do it in a way that I can easily section the blonde hair out so it doesn’t just get covered up by their toner. this usually means I add brightness on their hairline, and on their crown. or I keep the concentration of blonde on the bottom of the hair
here we decided to go for a more concentrated look on the ends. so I went through her hair and placed foils to brighten up her ends. painting the blondor higher as I got closer to her face. once I was finished applying the foils I went back in and applied her base color 🩷
@wellahairusa for the color 😘
comment what you think her base formula is, and i’ll respond to who ever is the closest with the actual formula 😉
who else is obsessed with this final result?! 😭🔥
@wellahair @wellaeducation
this is the beginning of something lived in 🔥
for this transformation i took my client Cat from a regular auburn maintenance to the start of a more lived in purpley wine color 😍

color line used: Koleston Perfect
top: 33/66 + 55/46 pastel vol 1:2
mid: 55/46 + 66/46 pastel vol 1:2
ends: 66/46 + 77/46 + 40 vol 1:2
(i also sprinkled some /56 from special mix into each formula but it was like a line or two in each)
@wellahair @wellaeducation @hairbrained_official
yesterday was a really cool day for me. i never though i would ever get the opportunity to do the Hime haircut, but I actually got the chance and i still can’t stop thinking about how much we both loved the results 😭
Hime roughly translates to “princess”. it’s said to have originated from a coming of age ceremony known as binsogi, where royal women would have their hair cut to their ears at age 20 🩷
we took the style and adjusted it to work with Jenny’s lifestyle. we chose to go with curtain bangs instead of forward fringe, and we opted to keep the side sections slightly longer to ease her into her new style 🦋
we also covered her previous airtouch highlights to her natural color to give her hair a break from being processed 🫶🏼
@wellahairusa formula:
all over color: koleston perfect 4/0, 6/74, 6 vol (adding warmth and depth back into the hair)
gloss at the bowl: koleston perfect 3/0, 6 vol (5-10 mins just long enough to add back in the last bit of depth to match her natural black hair)
@ghd_northamerica Platinum + Flat Iron for the style
@pallure SOS oil as a finisher to seal in that sleek and shiny look 🫶🏼

🩷 story time 🩷
i wanted to take a second to talk about how i was my own worst enemy. doing another hairstylists hair can be so nerve racking (for me at least). leading up to this appointment i allowed anxiety, stress & imposter syndrome to creep in.
i double, triple guessed every little thing i did. when it came time for me to reduce the size of his money piece i was worn down. between the time i spent physically doing his hair, and the mental gymnastics i had put myself through. i ended up making two mistakes:
1. i was over thinking so much I decided to change my formula last minute right before applying
2. i pulled the color through the ends without leaving any blonde
this caused two things to happen. his money piece ended up pulling red, and without leaving the ends blonde it covered his new smaller money piece.
by the end i was so defeated. i had spent all day on this transformation. everything else was PERFECT… except in that money piece section. i briefly discussed the issue with him and recommended he give it a few washes and keep me updated on how it fades. the option to also go back in and adjust it was also on the table.
the next day he (very kindly) reached out with so much appreciation and gratitude for all the hard work I put into his hair. and he also let me know he went back in and corrected that section. i needed to be reminded that my mistakes do not define me, nor should they control me. i had like five mental break downs that night once I got home (my friends and family can attest to this). i was being SO hard on myself. but when he reached out to me it felt like this weight of shame and guilt was lifted off my shoulders. i was so appreciative and grateful for that.
if you speak negativity you will manifest it. i absolutely got in my own head, and self sabotaged. we all do it sometimes. but what i learned from this experience is to ALWAYS believe in myself and never let those internal voices scream louder than my talent ever again. i’m grateful to @artistic.aestheticss for being beyond kind and gracious in this whole experience 🩷
swipe to see where i messed up & the before->
@wellahairusa @wellaeducation
would you believe me if i told you that this appointment was originally only a maintenance appointment? truly i am so lucky with how much my clients trust me 🥺. not only was adding brightness for summer not a part of our original plan, this was the first time kelsey has EVER had foils!!!
i was so humbled to know she trusted me this much and couldn’t wait to get started. so after discussing what would be best we decided on focusing most of the brightness around her face and sprinkle some fine ribbons throughout her hair ✨
i focused most of my foiling around her hairline and then worked about 6 foils diagonal back into her part, and then three on the back of her crown. after i finished foiling i applied her root color (blending it down into each foil). i let her root process for 10 mins and then sprayed down the rest of her hair left out with water, and applied her gloss all over the rest of the hair out of the foils. after that processed for another 15 mins i rinsed everything and then glossed the blonde with shinefinity 🤍
we were both SO obsessed with the end results!! unfortunately we were racing against the clock so i didn’t have time to curl before taking pictures and videos. BUT kelsey so graciously curled her hair and send me a selfie of how beautiful the color looks curled, so stay tuned to the end of the reel to peep that ;)
all @wellahairusa
take a guess in the comments how long this service took me. first one to guess the closest amount of time i’ll respond to your comment with the formulas 🫶🏼

Transitioning from high maintenance—> low maintenance 🫶🏼
Haylee and I went back and fourth for a while on what to do with her hair. As you can see in this video her roots are grown in pretty long, that’s because we wanted to wait until we knew for sure what she wanted to do moving forward. Ultimately she decided she wanted to remove the blonde from her hair (for now) and go for an all over deep auburn brunette color. I recommended we go for something a bit lighter and less brunette to make the transition easier. She agreed and we started the process 🧡
The process:
- I started by lifting her midsection with Special Blondes 12/03 leaving about an inch of her root.
- Once her mids were lifted to a level 7 I went back in and retouched the area I left out at her root. And then rinsed & shampooed.
- Next I applied a root melt color from her scalp to her mid lengths to create the darker Copper/ Auburn base. I also applied a filler color on her blonde money piece during this step as well. This processes for 25 mins. Then rinsed and shampooed.
- For the final step I used Shinefinity for her all over gloss. And we have our final result!!
Some things to keep in mind for these kinds of transformations:
- You have to address each section separately. Even if you can achieve certain looks in one process, sometimes you have to address each section separately. Hair is not a one size fits all. The roots should be handled differently than the ends, and pre-lightened hair should be treated differently from virgin hair.
- Overprocessed hair can and most likely will be overly porous. So keep in mind these sections will grab darker, and more flat. To avoid this formulate a bit lighter, and more vibrant. At the end of the day hair is unpredictable. There will always be things out of our control. All we can do is try to prevent these things from happening as much as possible.
- Be transparent about the process. Any big change might take a few appointments. So let them know that in the beginning. Any goal is possible with patience 🤍

Celebrating a lot of amazing things this month. The most obvious being Pride. I feel so blessed to have been born into and to be a part of the most diverse, creative, accepting, loving and fun community there is.
But on a more personal note I got engaged to the love of my life two weeks ago exactly!! I’m so grateful to have found my person 😭. This picture was taken right after the fact. Such an amazing night, with amazing people.
I know things are hard for us right now in the LGBTQ+ community, especially here in Florida. But now is the time to really step up and educate yourselves on policies and more importantly the politicians who are backing them. Knowledge is power, and that’s why they try to keep it away from as many people as possible. Don’t just get out and vote, research the candidates and make educated decisions!! That’s how prevent hate and bigotry from winning.
Happy Pride Everyone 😘🫶🏼🤍
Summer Transition ☀️🧡
Today we took Zoe from her gorgeous fall/ winter shade and transitioned her into her spring/ summer shade!!
The goal was to have a darker base that gradually transitioned into lighter ends. So I knew Airtouch was the only way to go ;).
- For this transformation I did a full head of Airtouch, feathered to the root. Higher towards the front and slightly lower towards the back to create more depth. Let the foils process to a level 8/8.5. I rinsed as each section was done processing and applied conditioner to those sections while we waited for the others to process. Once the last section was done processing I then rinsed and shampooed everything.
- Then towel dried her hair very well, and applied her root color. Let that sit for 20 mins and then rinsed and shampooed again.
- while still at the bowl I squeezed as much water as possible out of her her and applied her toner all over. Let that sit for 15 mins (timer starts at the end of application. Everything must be covered). Then rinsed and conditioned.
- We finish with a haircut. Removed about 2/2.5 inches and then styled her new lob smooth and sleek with a slight bevel at the ends 🤍
Formulas:
- Foils: Blondorplex and 15vol, and 20vol
- Retouch: Koleston Perfect 7/43, 7/73, 20vol
- Gloss: Color Touch 7/0, 7/4, 6vol

taking a break 🤍
sometimes our hair tells us it’s time to take a break from the things we’re doing. usually it’s a break from lightening, or heat. this situation we needed to take a break from lightening :/
her hair has been through a lot these last few years and especially in her money piece we were loosing a lot of length due to breakage :(. so we decided to switch to an all over look, and taking her hair a bit darker and more red 🔥 ultimately I decided not to go as dark as her Inspo to ease into the big change 🫶🏼
this is the final result and we loved it!! but we can’t wait to get back to the blonde face frame. for now we’re gonna have fun with different shades of copper ;)

and just like that… we’re blonde again ✨
while it’s true that i only take on new copper/red clients that doesn’t mean you’re dead to me if you change your mind 😉
if you become a client of mine it’s because i want you in my chair 🤍 i love getting to see and work on your hair journey. that means if you decide one day to do something that isn’t copper, i’m still here to help make your hair dreams come true 🤭. unless i feel one of my hair besties can execute something better, then i‘ll leave you in their talented hands 🫶🏼
this was a 6 month journey getting back to a lived in blonde on Kristina. the before you see in the video was after our first session going lighter and then subsequent color melt sessions to keep the warm tones at bay until we went in and did a full lightening session. i’m so grateful to my clients who trust me and trust the process because that’s how we get results like this!!!!

Hello everyone 🤍
This is your friendly reminder to pre-book your appointments if possible. If not, no worries! Just remember to try and reach out a month to a month and a half before you want to get your hair done. If not we most likely won’t find the day or time that you’re looking for :/ Love and appreciate all of you 🤍
Did someone say money piece? 😍
Loveee when I get to see this beauty and hangout 😭🤍 When she said she wanted to add some blonde into her hair I has no idea it was going to be this iconic 🥹
We looked through a bunch of color blocked bangs, but she wanted something that was bold, but not quite as disconnected. So I decided to add a block of blonde under a veil of copper. And it came out amazing!! I also added a few airtouch panels on the sides of her fringe so when she pulls her hair up she has some blonde pieces to connect with her bangs and enhance everything 😝
It’s giving banging money piece for sure 💁🏻♂️

✨ New Clients Start Here ✨
With me being in my own space I know figuring out how to become a client of mine can be a little confusing. So I’m making this post to hopefully simplify things ;)
- Your first step is to send me a DM with current hair pictures, and your hair goals. If your goal is something I think we might be able to achieve then we will continue with the process. New client contracts will currently be filled out in person, however I will send a digital copy to you to read over before hand.
- Your next step will be to either:
+ request a Consultation appointment through my website (link in bio) or through the book now button also in my bio
+ DM or e-mail me and I can help you set up a consultation :)
- The last and final step is to pay the consultation fee. I have a few methods through which I can collect payment. But I will reach out to you either via instagram DM or e-mail to collect payment. If you do not pay the consult fee, your appointment will be canceled as your spot will not be held
If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me and I can answer any further questions you may have 😘
Can you believe her base is her natural hair color?! I die 😭
8 months ago Ashley came to me because she wanted to stop bleaching her hair. It was creating a lot of breakage and she wanted her hair to be healthy again. Her hair is naturally a level 7 copper. So once we figured out the tone she was going for we began the process.
Her hair has seen about 5 inches of healthy new growth. Every time we cut her hair, the state of her ends the next time I see her get better and better. Which means the longer she goes without intense bleach and lightening sessions the healthier her hair has become.
We do plan on adding some subtle blonde dimension back in down the road. But that won’t be for a while. Our main focus is the health right now.
But I cant wait to see how her hair looks and feels a year from now. Sometimes you have to take a step back and realize that what you want isn’t necessarily the best for what your hair can handle, and then adjust for what it can 😉

grown out copper to spicy chocolate brunette 🍫
what are my options when i want to switch my color from copper?
ultimately it depends on the starting color, color history, the health of your hair, and what it will allow me to do in one session
there are a lot of options for you to switch it up, this is another example
my client was tired of the maintenance and wanted to try going back to her natural color, brunette. i discussed with her all of the available options, and after deciding she didn’t want to use any lightener on her hair this is the color we decided on. some things to keep in mind when changing your hair from copper/ red:
- if you want anything that is less warm &/or lighter, some form of color removal process will have to take place. this is because once those color molecules are in the hair, the only way to change them… is remove them. this isn’t the case for every single goal. But 9/10 times it is.
- if you’re okay with very very very warm hair, and seeing red/ orange tones reflect in your hair. then an all over color might be the best option for you. that’s what we did here. her hair has so much beautiful warmth when the sun hits it, and that’s what we were going for.
- be patient. these tones are notorious for being stubborn and staining the hair. depending on how many times you’ve deposited the color in and on your hair will determine how hard it is to switch to something else. some of my clients hair lift in one session. sometimes it takes 5. you have to be patient and willing to take the journey to get to your dream hair 🤍

Want to know my secret for big bouncy blowouts even on my clients who has thin, fine hair with no layers? Velcro Rollers!! Swipe to see the after ;)
These things can elevate your blow outs beyond the next level. They’re so easy to use, and add at most 10 mins to your styles.
The way I’ll use them is I’ll round brush the hair as normal, making sure it’s totally smooth and dry. And then I’ll put a roller in (while the hair is still hot/warm), and secure it with a no crease hair clip. Let the rollers sit the entire blow dry. And then once you’re done blow drying pre spray the hair with a texture spray. Then begin taking out the rollers starting with the first one you placed and working your way all the way to the last one you placed. Styling each section with texture spray as you go
Some tips when using Velcro Rollers:
- Make sure you pull the roller to the end of the hair before rolling it up to the top. If the hair is put on the roller in a sloppy way, you are way more likely to get tangles
- If the roller gets stuck while unrolling check and feel to dislodge the stray hairs that are tangled
- Sometimes they just get stuck. So when that’s the case unroll it enough to be able to grab your clients hair at the base of the sub-section so you’re not pulling it. And then being to pull and unravel the roller in the direction you want the hair to flow
- For roller size I use the smallest size on the bang area, medium size on the sides of the head, and the large sizes on the back of the head 😉

Gorgeous grown out Airtouch -> Full copper transformation
This is what I consider a Transformational Service. For my pricing I have this broken down into a Basic package, and a Corrective Package. Each sub-category is broken down by length and density: Short | fine - medium |, Short | medium - thick |, and so on all the way up to Extra Long.
This service was the Basic Transformation package: Mid length | medium - thick |, The price for this service is $650. I created a specific pricing system for when I take my clients from what ever they have, to their copper goals. Depending on what exactly I have to do to get you there will determine if it will be a normal service, or a transformational service.

So depending on the desired result, yes it’s 100% possible. I would say the after in this picture is a bit too light to just throw color on top and call it a day. There would be way too much warmth, and you would have to level down to fix the patchiness in the back.
There’s two reasons why I didnt just take her all over dark:
1) Our end goal is to get her back to a lived in balayage
2) We didn’t want a super dark end result
My goal for this first session was to remove as much of the pigment as possible, and get her to an even clean base color to work off of in the future.
I always tell my clients it’s better to do these corrective services in stages. For me it makes more sense to address each issue one at a time. This way I can focus all of my energy into one thing, instead of trying to make 4 things happen at once.
For this appointment I did a round of color remover. All over, root to tip. This way it would life her natural while pulling out the intense orange and red pigments
Once that was done processing (25 mins after application was done) I rinsed, shampooed, and then applied a bleach wash with 20 vol on her mids to ends. This was to give her hair (off the scalp) and extra bump and remove even more of that built up color
Once that was done processing (15 mins) I used Shinefinity to color melt her hair. 4/12 and 6/0 at her base, and 7/81 and 6/0 on her mids to ends
Our next session will be to add some brightness back in with a foiliyage technique. The goal for our next appointment I’m hoping to get a clean lift after all of the pigment removal we did in todays session!!

I’m opening my own space!! The time has finally come for me to venture out on my own 🥹
I’ve been at Theory for over three years now. I’ve been through breakups, hurricanes, pandemics, lockdowns, the loss of my father, and so many other life changing events while working here. I’ve grown to love the people I work with, and I’m so sad that I have to say goodbye. Thank you so much to @erin.mills , I will take all of the things you’ve taught me and helped me with over these past three years and use them to be the best stylist & business owner I can be. Theory Salon will always be a part of me. But with the end of one chapter, a new one must begin!
Starting January 18th I will officially be taking clients at my new location Porte Noire in East Winter Park (Address: 2451 Howell Market Ln Suite 1115, Winter Park FL, 32792)!! Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions!!
Please keep in mind I am now the only one managing my schedule. So having an up to date phone number and email are imperative for me to ensure everything runs smoothly for us 🤍
For all of my clients, if your appointment is before January 18th nothing is changing. I will still be taking clients at Theory on Alden until January 14th. If your appointment is on January 18th (and beyond) your appointment time is still the same. Just at the new location :) I will be transferring over all appointments myself so there is no need to do anything :)
I’m currently working out kinks with the new booking system but it will be up and running by January 18th!! If you have any questions about or would like to book your appointments please reach out to me and I’ll answer any questions :)
I will still be using @wellahairusa for all of my color creations, and @davinesnorthamerica for all of your styling and haircare needs 🫶🏼
Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me and helped get me to this point. To my loyal clients, friends, and family, I couldn’t have done it without you 🥹

Moving forward I will not be able to book anymore new clients on Saturdays. Currently Saturdays are the day in highest demand for my clients and my shortest day. Saturdays are also the day I take off the most for vacation. Therefore, I have to give my established clients priority for this reason.
Anyone who has already been a client of mine this does not affect you 😉
I work Wednesday through Saturday so I will still have Wednesday - Friday to book as availability will allow 🤎 Thank you so much to everyone who has, and continues to support me. It really means the world 🥺
Should I have a client reschedule or cancel and I have an opening. Saturday spots will become available on a first come first serve basis 🤍

This is my favorite tip for anyone who struggles with lifting their clients dark natural root, while also not over lifting the hair and making it too light :)
Gloss: Wella Special mix /44, /43, and pastel developer :)
Maintaining copper on clients with naturally very dark hair can be a challenge. After the first transformative appointment it can be hard to lift their natural, while not over lifting their natural. Special Blondes from @wellahairusa is the perfect solution for that!!
I also use this product to balayage/ foilyage my clients with virgin hair to give them the perfect dimensional brunette that never fades to blonde 😉 Let me know in the comments if you want to see a video for that 🤍

It was time to spice things up 🧡 (that Shinefinity shine tho 😍)
Previously we were doing a more natural auburn. This time we were going for a brighter copper red, and we definitely achieved that 😏 This is how I made it happen 👇🏼
- First I applied a bleach wash, blondor with 20 vol all over the previously colored sections of her hair at the bowl on shampooed hair. Let that sit for 15 mins and then quickly applied it all over her natural for another 15 mins
- Then I rinsed her hair and applied the same mixture to the areas that needed an extra push (missed spots on the roots and areas where the previous color was slightly stubborn) processed for 15 and rinsed
- At the chair I applied a root melt to fill the over lifted areas on her natural. And reapplied the same mixture (remixed) on her ends. They were being extra stubborn. Let that process for 15 mins
- After that was rinsed and shampooed I applied an all over color to set the base. I knew there would be a chance I would have to regloss at the end to really pull everything together. And once I rinsed off the all over color I did
- Last step was a global gloss at the bowl and then style ✨
Formulas:
- Bleach Wash: Blondor, 20 vol 1:2, hot water (eyed)
- Root Melt: Shinefinity 6/07, 7/34, bowl developer
- All Over Color: Koleston Perfect: 7/47, 7/43, 7/73, 5/73, 10 vol, 1:1.5
- Global Gloss: Shinefinity 6/07, 6/43, bottle developer

Want to keep depth and richness but need to prelighten your clients hair? High lift color is going to be your best friend 🥰 (virgin hair only)
For this transformation I used Wella Special Blondes in 12/81 with 40 vol to lift everywhere she had natural depth to about a level 6.5/7. I started by quickly applying the mixture to everywhere she had any dark pieces. Leaving the color about an inch from the root. When I was done applying to a section I wrapped it in foil. After applying to the entire head (still leaving the root out) I put her under heat for 15 mins.
Once that was done processing I rinsed and bumped her root with Illumina 10/81 and 30 vol for 20 mins. This gave me the perfect base to work on for my clients goal 😉
Once all of her natural was lifted I took her over to the bowl and filled her blonde hair with /43 in Speical Mix with Pastel developer. Let that process for 15 mins
Once that was done I went over everything with Shades 7CC, 7NB, 9NB with processing solution
I felt like the blonde still needed a little kick so I reglossed her hair with /43 in relights and we ended up with our final result :).
We were both SOO obsessed with the result. What do you guys think?

I love helping my clients get back to a hair color they feel most comfortable with 😭
Haylees hair was a bit more red and vibrant then she likes to have. So our goals were to even put her canvas, get her back to a deeper copper, and even out and brighten her money piece to compliment her copper base ♥️
This transformation took about 5 1/2 hours to complete. Here’s the breakdown 👇🏼
- First I started with a @malibucpro CPR under heat for 45 mins. Once it was done processing I shampooed 3 times. The top of her hair even out pretty nicely but her underneath still had some intense pigments. We were okay with that because she doesn’t wear her hair up often and we didn’t want to bleach her hair
- I then lifted her base using 7/43 in Koleston Perfect with 30 vol while also using blondor with 10 vol on her money piece roots. While her money piece was processing I pulled the blondor through some of the darker more brassy areas
- Once all of that was done processing I brought her over to the shampoo bowl where I rinsed everything (keeping the money piece and copper separate for now)
- I then put a gloss all over the copper area. 7/34 and 9/73 from Wella Shinefinity
- While the gloss was processing I put post color treatment on her money pieces. I then used the leftover blondor and 10 vol on the ends of her money piece to bump out the rest of the brassiness and left over ashy toner
- After 15 mins (separately) I rinsed out the money piece and her gloss. Keeping the hair separate I took her back to the chair
- At the chair I root tapped her money piece with Koleston 7/3 & 10/3 with pastel, and glossed the mids/ ends with 10/3 and pastel volume
- While still at the chair I mixed 7/47 & 5/43 in Koleston with pastel vol and melted her root. Let both process for 15 mins
- Once that’s done processing just rinse (no need to keep the hair separate anymore) style, and you’re all done ♥️
(Yes I missed the foil three times trying to grab it 😂😂😂)
We were both so happy with the results, what do you guys think?!👇🏼

A little before and after action. I’ve been doing a lot of reels recently so I felt like doing a side by side 😂🤷🏻♂️
I always talk about how previously blonde to red/ copper transformations are usually the most stressful. While her hair was mostly cooperative I did have to gloss twice at the end because her porous hair picked up more brown then red, and we did not want that 💅🏻
Formulas and Processes below:
Step 1: Face Frame highlight to create more highs and break up the hard line between her natural and blonde.
Blondor, 20 vol
Step 2: Fill the blonde.
Shinefinity - 8/34, bottle developer 15 mins at the bowl
Step 3: All Over Color.
Root - Koleston perfect - 7/73, 7/47, 15 vol
Mids/ Ends - Koleston Perfect - 7/73, 7/43, 7/47, 25 vol
Step 4: All over gloss.
Shinefinity - 7/34, 6/73, bowl developer
Step 5: Corrective Gloss
Koleston Perfect - /44, 30 vol 1:2 (30 to lift & deposit quicky) on wet shampooed hair apply and rub hair until desired result is achieved
